Anticipated August 2020 Releases!

Well, we're finally reaching the end of the month! it's been a hell of a month for me and I think I'm sort of glad it's over--and a big part of that is probably because of the huge amount of awesome books coming out, if we're being honest. :) I've already read a few of these (I highly recommend The Vanished Queen, The Exiles, Olive the Lionheart, and Universe of Two in particular!), but there are far more that I haven't and am so excited to read sometime. I've been holding onto an ARC of Where Dreams Descend for months, so I think it's finally time to get it read for a review! Anyway, I hope you've all had a great month and that you get a chance to dive into some of these new releases. :)

What books are you most looking forward to? Have you read any of these already!? Let me know!

Month in Review: August 2018

I can't remember what happened in August, but I remember being stressed? I'm not sure why, though... August was just a weird, fast month. Was it that way for anyone else?

In book related news, I finally finished up my re-read read-a-long of Kushiel's Dart (still amazing!) and finished beta reading, so my normal reading days are back! Hooray! The new The Odyssey translation from Emily Wilson that came out earlier this year finally came in at my library and I pretty much devoured that in the last couple days, so it's safe to say that I love this new translation. I tend to get a lot of people asking me which translation of The Odyssey to read once they hear I studied Classics and it's always difficult for me to recommend because I don't know what's right for everyone, but I highly recommend this one to pretty much everyone. I'm continuing to do reviews as part of TBRindr and that's been fantastic, so I will continue with that indefinitely, as well.
All in all, I have to say it was a pretty good reading month. I actually read a lot more than I thought I did which is always a bonus! How was your month!?

As I've mentioned before, I'm also a Book Depository Affiliate and an Amazon affiliate! If you'd like to know more about that, I included some info about in this post.
